…will the people who said global warming isn’t happening now admit that it’s warmer than a week ago therefore we’re all going to die (at the current rate the temperature will have increased to over 200°C by the end of the year)?
So, now that the snow’s melted…

The recent snow meant my delivery from Tesco didn’t was cancelled, but 2 great things.
- They sent me a £10 off voucher, which is nice
- Their website has a ‘My recent orders’ section, I can add everything from the last order, with the correct quantities, in a few seconds.
8600 reasons not to buy a MacBook Pro
November 30th, 2009
Well, there’s actually one sadly my MBP is suffering from occasional blackouts on booting. On the plus side it’s a free fix out of warranty and I got to use the Genius Bar for the first time.
The trip included the least Apple-esque, but most Mac nerdery you can see in an external hard drive. The Steve would probably be unhappy that there’s an external drive which has a sticker with “GPU Test” printed on it, stuck on top of the previous sticker. But I enjoyed the fact the sticker was done in Myriad Pro.

Thanks to the excellent sigames.com community member Super Bladesman you can install a file and play any team in the top 10 levels of English football, so that includes Whitchurch United who I’ve got promoted to the Conference and most important done the below.

So in BBC land phoning someone and saying you fucked their granddaughter (which happened to be true) is an offence that results in 2 people losing their jobs, and 1 getting suspended.
But calling someone a Paki, like it’s the fucking 70s or something, is acceptable.
This seems odd.
So it’s Vin Diesel as a giant outer-space robot who blows shit up, and it’s still good

I watched The Iron Giant last night, probably the best animation of the last 15-20 years that isn’t by Pixar or Studio Ghibli.
Neo Old Atheist
September 29th, 2009
Apparently “‘New’ Atheists” are middle class, university educated snobs. Which was a bit of a blow for me, I guess I could try and listen to uneducated people who believe in the religion their parents happened to force on them. But instead I’ve decided to label myself a Neo Old Atheist1
On the subject of atheism Jonathan Meades: Off Kilter, especially episode 2 is half-mad, half-insane brilliance. And it’s hard for me to praise a former foodie, architecture critic.
1 The schism between the old and new atheists is that old atheists don’t believe in a theistic god, and the new atheists don’t believe in a theistic god.
